Background Check Requests

Little League International requires all leagues and districts in the United States to conduct background checks that utilize JDP Background Screening, in accessing background check records for sex offender registry data and criminal records. The JDP National Criminal File database that contains records, including criminal and sex offender registry records covering 50 states and the District of Columbia, meets the current regulation requirement. Cartersville Little League utilizes JDP Background Screening to comply with Little League International's Child Protection Program for the safety of all of our players.

All local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors' members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. Individuals are also required to complete and submit a Little League Volunteer Application to their local league.

Each year, those wishing to manager, coach, be a team parent, or otherwise volunteer with the Cartersville Little League, must complete a background check. Requests for background checks for the 2024 season can be sent to [email protected], with your email request, please submit a copy of your driver's license.
